Destiny 2 Update 2.11 Patch Notes

Update 2.11 has arrived for Destiny 2, and here is the full list of changes and fixes added with this patch. This update kicks off the Season of the Chosen, so there are a ton of new additions to the game in this patch. A new landing zone has been added to Europa, which dedicated players are sure to appreciate, and there are changes to all sorts of strikes, raids, and other activities. New content will also be released throughout Season of the Chosen, so there's plenty to look forward to for Destiny 2 players. Here's everything new with Destiny 2.11 update 2

Activities

Europe

  • New landing zone added in Eventide Ruins for all players who complete the Beyond Light campaign.

dream city

  • The Reverie Dawn armor set has been re-released with a new maximum power cap and the Combat Style mod socket.
  • Waking Vigil, Vouchsafe, Retold Tale, and Sleepless weapons have been re-released with a new maximum power cap and new perk pools.
  • Dreaming City weapons that have reached their maximum power limit will no longer drop once you obtain the item once, allowing collectors to complete their collections while ensuring subsequent items remain usable in activities difficult.
  • Fixed an issue where Petra's map icon could flicker even though there was no quest to talk to her.
  • Fixed an issue where one-way connection or temporary connections between areas were not taken into account by the waypoint system.

  • Fixed an issue where rocks and grass were floating in the air.

  • Fixed an issue where some Fallen Skiffs could fly into the environment during Public Events.

  • Fixed a lighting issue in Hellrise Canyon where cracks in the environment were highlighted by bright light emitted from behind a wall.

    • Fixed an issue where the tank summon pad could disappear.

Lune

  • The Dreambane armor set has been re-released with a new maximum power cap and the Combat Style mod socket as well as a dedicated Nightmare mod socket.
  • All three Altars of Sorrow weapons (Apostate, Blasphemer, Heretic) and the Premonition Pulse Rifle have been re-released with a new maximum power cap and new perk pools.
  • A mysterious disorder
    • Fixed an issue where players could accidentally bypass a trigger volume and end up in a stuck state.
    • Fixed an issue where the first fighters in this mission had their power level too high.
  • Fixed a bug where some players' weapons could stay near Eris.
  • Fixed an issue where environment decorations were floating near the K1 Logistics Lost Sector.
  • Fixed an issue where players could encounter the “Harp” error code when approaching Eris on the Moon.
  • Fixed an issue where a chest puzzle during moon free roam would get stuck and not restart.
  • Fixed an issue where Fallen Fighters would spawn from a Hive ship.

    • Fixed an issue where the boss could get stuck in an immune state if the fireteam was wiped hard during the boss encounter.

  • Fixed an issue where ambient squads could shoot the player before completing the loadout in one of the Silent Fang missions.

Public events

  • Ether Replenishment
    • Fixed an issue where the Fallen Servitor teleport attack was missing audio.
    • Fixed an issue where a Fallen Ketch could clip into the environment.
  • glow extraction
    • Fixed an issue where the Glimmer Extractor public event would occur too rarely in The Gulch on EDZ.
  • Disrupt the construction of Vex
    • Fixed an issue where Vex Fighters would not despawn after this Public Event ended.
    • Fixed an issue where Capture Plates could remain after it was too late to reach Heroic, but capturing them would do nothing.
  • Altar of Sorrows
    • Fixed an issue where Altar of Sorrows music would play for players in the Sorrow's Harbor area even if they weren't engaged in the Public Event.
    • Fixed an issue where Knight Swords could spawn too high in the air after killing the Knight who dropped them.
    • Fixed an issue that caused Altar of Sorrows bosses to not rotate each day.
  • Defend the Warsat
    • Fixed an issue where the Public Event would not always count towards completing Public Events for certain bounties and quests.
    • Fixed an issue where an Ogre boss in the Skywatch area would sometimes teleport around the Warsat.
  • Gel Cryopod
    • Fixed an issue where orbs used to trigger Heroic Completion would continually spawn after a vent ruptured.
  • Stop the Ether Ritual
    • Fixed an issue where all items and fighters in this Public Event could suddenly disappear if no player had engaged them.
  • Taken Blight
    • Fixed an issue where the Rally Flag and Public Events would spawn in different locations in the area.
    • Fixed an issue where the Public Event could not always occur if players had already engaged with the Rally Flag.

Strikes



  • keeper of nothing
    • Fixed an issue where a Minotaur miniboss would teleport to attack players too soon, before the shield that was supposed to block it drops.
    • Fixed an issue where the lift tube could close after the first member of a fireteam had passed, preventing other members of the combat team from continuing.
    • Fixed an issue where the hit boss was facing the wrong direction during certain animations.
    • Fixed an issue where some fighters could spawn instead of spawning properly with animations.
    • Fixed an issue where players could progress too far without putting leverage, then have to backtrack to find it.
  • The Terminus Insight
    • Fixed an issue where the Fireteam could get stuck behind a locked door after hard wiping.
    • Fixed an issue where the boss could fail to teleport and players could not proceed, forcing them to abandon the attack.
  • The scarlet dungeon
    • Fixed a bug where a line of dialogue would sometimes not play.

    • Fixed some bugs with waypoint locations.
    • Fixed an issue where it was possible to bypass a trigger volume and interrupt the flow of the mission, preventing the fireteam from progressing.

      • Fixed an issue where players could encounter missing environment objects if returning to the elevator.
  • Broodhold
    • Fixed an issue where some fighters would spawn without displaying proper spawn visuals.
    • Fixed an animation issue where a hive barrier would briefly reappear before disappearing.
  • The inverted arrow
    • Fixed an issue where platforms would disappear and players in a fireteam could get stuck in the cistern area if their fireteam went too far.

    • Fixed an issue where players should have been lured into the boss room to join their fireteam, but instead saw a countdown timer and died.

Crucible

  • Crucible Tokens and Crucible Token Gifts are deprecated.
  • Crucible Valor rank rewards are now visible on Lord Shaxx.

Plans

  • Bannerfall
    • Fixed an issue where the Bannerfall Crucible map would sometimes display an incorrect name.
  • Burnout, Wormhaven et Midtown
    • Fixed an issue where map music was playing too early, during the loading screen.
  • Radiant Cliffs
    • Fixed an issue where the map name was missing from some screens.
    • Fixed out-of-environment issues.
  • Twilight
    • Fixed an issue where players could get caught on an invisible geo.
  • Exodus Blue, Javelin-4, Fragment, Midtown and Deadcliffs
    • Fixed out-of-environment issues.

Gambit

  • Gambit Infamy rank rewards are now visible on Drifter.

Raids

  • Raid reward sources now include masterwork materials as follows:
    • Enhancement Cores and Prisms now have a chance to drop from hidden chests in Last Wish, Garden, and Descent raids.
        • These are on a weekly, per chest, per raid lockout (cannot be grinded infinitely).
    • Ascendant Shards can be obtained through a reward from a Weekly Director's Challenge tied to the Featured Raid.
    • The Ascendant Shard Weekly Director challenge requires players to complete all encounters in the featured raid before paying.

The last wish

  • Encounters and Challenges should now award the standard EXP amounts intended.
  • Fixed an issue where players could experience network desync.
  • Fixed an issue where some knight fighters spawned inside the wall.
  • Fixed an issue where too many captured captains would spawn in the Riven encounter.
  • Fixed an issue where Morgeth the Spirekeeper would appear in player view.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed the fireteam to skip a platformer once the first player in the fireteam was successful.
  • Fixed an issue where players could die after completing the platforming encounter and have to do the platforming game again.
  • Fixed an issue where killing a second Eye of Riven at the wrong time would break the encounter and force a restart.
  • Fixed a bug where a Drifter line of dialogue would play even if you didn't activate the relevant wish.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Force of Memory challenge from being completed.

  • Fixed an issue where the final music would not always play at the correct time.

  • Atraks-1's health bar should exhibit less bouncy behavior.
  • The Free Roam Scanner Augment will now be removed from players when starting the first raid encounter.

dungeons

  • broken throne
    • Shattered Throne chests will no longer drop items that have reached their maximum power limit.
    • Reverie Dawn armor that drops in the Shattered Throne dungeon will roll with higher stats, comparable to raid armor.
    • Dreaming City weapons that drop in the Shattered Throne dungeon can gain perks that aren't available in drops from other reward sources.
    • Fixed an issue where music could not play during the final encounter.
    • Fixed an issue where a door could get stuck and prevent players from progressing.
  • pit of heresy
    • Pit of Heresy chests will no longer drop items that have reached their maximum power limit; all essence quests will still have a chance to drop during Pit of Heresy encounters.
    • Dreambane armor that drops in the Pit of Heresy dungeon will roll with higher stats, comparable to raid armor.
    • Weapons that drop in the Pit of Heresy dungeon can be cast with perks that aren't available from drops from other reward sources.
    • The final Pit of Heresy chest will no longer drop a fully overpowered piece of Dreambane armor.
    • Instead, the Dreambane armor piece that drops will have 7 Armor Energy and is guaranteed to drop with at least a +16 in two different stats and higher stats overall.
    • Dreambane class items will not drop from this chest.
    • Fixed an issue where Relics could have incorrect visual effects.
    • Fixed an issue where audio was missing from some Hive Barrier objects.
  • Prophecy
    • Fixed an issue where a boss fighter could not properly despawn after completing an encounter.
    • Fixed an issue where fireteam members who remain in the Drifter's ship could be kicked out of the dungeon when their team progresses.
    • Fixed some issues where Pillars of Light could show progress on the wrong items.
    • Fixed an issue where the visual effects of Light Pillars were offset against some platforms.
    • Fixed an issue where the Kell Echo boss teleport animation and VFX would not sync with the actual teleport, causing a weird animation.
    • Fixed an issue where player ghosts could spawn in an inaccessible location if they died shortly after passing through a teleporter, forcing them to wait 45 seconds before respawning.
    • Fixed an issue where players in the process of joining would respawn near the start of the dungeon if they joined late.
    • Fixed a bug where players could pick up motes without receiving credit for them.
    • Fixed an issue where a Devoured Ogre would sometimes teleport towards players if they moved too far away.
    • Fixed an issue that prevented players from respawning inside two of the particle collection rooms.

General

  • Fixed AI behavior bugs in many activities, where fighters could be found standing still, teleporting or moving to the wrong place.
  • Fixed an issue where the power levels of some fighters in the Lost Sector were too low, sometimes lower than those of the same fighters in free public areas.
  • Fixed issues where the incorrect name was displayed above the health bar for various named fighters in various activities.

UI / UX

General

  • Collectible categories now allow players to mark all new items as seen to clear the new item indicator for that category.
  • Vault has a button with information on how to access the Destiny Companion app and others created by the Destiny community.
  • Menu header bars stretch correctly on widescreen monitors.
  • Updated logo for the BNOC (formerly DOC) team.
  • Congratulations to the people who have ensured the operation of our services for years, and congratulations to many others!
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes Legacy Triumphs were displayed when first accessing the Triumphs screen.
  • The subclass toggle icon correctly displays the idle state when the gear is locked.
  • Updated Stasis Aspect Fragment display to correctly show zero slots.

Eververse / Economy

General

  • Weapon and armor ornaments will no longer get stuck on the player's entitlement status.
  • Tooltips for weapon and armor ornaments in the store now clearly indicate when a parent item is not owned.

Sandbox

capacity

  • Fixed an issue where some Arc and Solar grenades could apply their "hit" visual effects to animated doors and floors.
  • Fixed an issue where using Shiver Strike near Stasis Crystals could send you into the stratosphere.
  • Fixed an issue where using certain abilities near Stasis Crystals could cause you to walk through a closed door.
  • Fixed an issue where Sunbreakers would trigger roaring flames with Sunsword kills.
  • Fixed an issue where Sentinel Shield single attacks through heavy attack input were not consuming super energy.
  • Fixed an issue where players could be damaged by shattering their own Stasis Crystals if the Opponent had Whisper of Fissure equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where Crown Wormhusk and Vesper of Radius would trigger their perks when exiting Stasis.
  • Fixed an issue where Duskfield Grenades could freeze Stasis Crystals and Barricades.
  • Reliably improved the Frostpulse aspect when enemies were at different altitudes.
  • When using Jumper or Cold Shoulders, the Glacial Quake Super melee attack is now also mapped to LT/L2 for accessibility.
  • Decreased the height at which Glacial Grenades throw the player who threw them.
  • Duskfield Grenades can now kill to prevent players from using it to continually trap others in Stasis.
  • Ice Bolts no longer grant grenade energy when destroying a frozen target.
  • Ensure Iceflare Bolts correctly tracks the number of seekers spawned before the cooldown.

Statis Freeze Escape

  • When playing with a controller, the input to exit Stasis Freeze is now double tapping B/Circle for all classes.
  • Evasion action commands can be changed via controller remapping.
  • Stasis Freeze
    • Increased the damage Frozen players can take before going from 100 hp to 200 hp.
    • When Frozen by Stasis, players now take 50% less damage from primary ammo weapons.
    • When Frozen by Stasis, players now take 50% increased damage from Special Ammo Weapons, Heavy Ammo Weapons, and non-Stasis Abilities.
    • Note: We're planning a more in-depth ability tuning pass, but in the meantime we've implemented this change to increase players' chances of surviving while frozen.
    • When frozen by Stasis, AI fighters now take 5% less damage from primary ammo weapons.
    • When Frozen by Stasis, AI Fighters now take 5% more damage from Special Ammo Weapons, Heavy Ammo Weapons, and non-Stasis Abilities.
  • Wither Blade
    • No longer deals headshot critical damage.
    • Increased base damage from 60 to 90.
    • Melee slash range reduced by 1m when Withered Blade is charged. Allows players to use the Withering Blade more reliably when up close.
  • wearable supernova
    • Reduced personal damage from 100% to 25%.

Armor

  • Significantly reduced the cost of Deep Stone Crypt raid mods.
  • With the Support mod equipped, you will no longer pick up Power Orbs if you are already maxed out with Light Stacks.
  • Exotic Aeon Cult weapon armor for all three classes has been revamped and now offers selectable, role-based, teamwork-oriented perks.
  • The Overshield buff timer granted by IceFall Mantle Exotic will no longer refresh when a Titan is downed by allied players in PvE.
  • Damage from enemy combatants and opposing players in Gambit/Crucible will always refresh the buff timer.
  • Fixed an issue where Dreambane armor would not drop above 1050 Power until players completed the Shadowkeep campaign.

  • Catalysts for the following weapons have had their sources and objectives updated to not be associated with Vaulted content:

  • Fixed an issue with Sturm's Exotic perk.
    • Sturm will reload any special weapon equipped on kill again provided the special weapon clip is not already full and there is spare ammo available.
  • Bow weapon attacks or multi-attacks no longer incorrectly progress Banshee's Fusion Rifle calibration bounty.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Merciless from increasing its charge rate on non-lethal hits.
  • This also fixed an issue affecting Jade Rabbit's Exotic perks, Eriana's Vow, Coldheart's perk not triggering when pulled through a Citan Rampart Barrier, and Mulligan activating on the shots when used with anti-barrier rounds.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Line in the Sand to have broken gear and play the wrong reload animation.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Thunderlord and possibly other weapons to not return their scope and/or reticle.

Weapon Archetype Changes

  • Rocket launcher
    • Increased Rocket Launcher damage by approximately 30% against enemies of Miniboss level and above.
    • Exotic rocket launchers have been adjusted individually and are affected by this change to varying degrees.
  • Fusion Rifle
    • Increased the starting distance of Fusion Rifle damage falloff, by an increasing amount based on range (6% at 0 range, 16% at 100 range).
    • Reduced camera movement when firing a Fusion Rifle by 9,5%.
  • Breech Grenade Launcher
    • Breech Grenade Launcher projectiles will now explode on impact with enemies, even if you hold the trigger.
  • Submachine gun
    • Reduced camera movement when firing an SMG by 24%.
  • pulse rifle
    • Reduced camera movement when firing a Pulse Rifle by 7%.
  • Submachine gun
    • Reduced camera movement when firing a machine gun by 9,5%.
  • Sniper rifle
    • Scaled flinch at other players' damage while aiming a 1,6x Sniper Rifle.
  • Sword
    • Damage against enemies of Miniboss rank and above reduced by approximately 15%.

Benefits

  • demolitionist
    • Added a short cooldown on the reload effect.

Mouse and keyboard recoil scalars

  • Reduced scalar recoil on mouse and keyboard (previously mouse and keyboard had ~40% less recoil than controller, this change brings mouse and keyboard closer to controller).
  • Affects these weapon archetypes:
    • automatic rifle
    • Scout Rifle
    • pulse rifle
    • Submachine gun
    • hand cannon
    • Submachine gun

Exotics

  • Fixed some Exotic weapons losing their buff when extracting a Ghost Shell (they will still lose the buff if you put them away).

    • Tarrabah
    • Hawkmoon (final round only)
  • Borealis and Hard Light now have a custom (short) animation for changing damage types.
  • Duality
    • Increased damage falloff distance by 1,25m (both in hip fire and aiming).
  • Max buff stack reduced from 7 to 5, each stack now grants more bonus damage, slightly longer buff duration.

Power and progress

Updated powerbands

  • Power floor: 1100
  • Soft cap: 1250
  • Mighty Cap: 1300
  • Pinnacle Cap: 1310
  • Below the Soft Cap, increased the upper limit of Power buffs removed from weekly Power sources.
  • Increased XP rewards for the Last Wish raid to match Garden of Salvation and Deep Stone Crypt.
  • Fixed an issue where the power preview for some vendor items did not match the power of the gear received.

Player Identity

  • Several title sigils now support golden titles. After completing the base Triumphs and claiming the Seal, several Golden Triumphs become available.
  • Completing all Golden Triumphs changes the title to its golden state, represented by a new color and icon in player menus and waypoints.
  • The title only stays golden for the rest of the season, as golden triumphs will reset at the end of each season.
  • This feature exists for these titles:
    • Gambit – Dredgen
    • Crucible – Unbroken
    • Nightfall – Conqueror
    • Essays – flawless
  • New titles have been created for Conqueror and Flawless that support gilding. Basic Triumphs in these Title Seals can be completed in any Season.
  • Players who have completed Triumphs associated with the previous version of Flawless or Conqueror titles will have those completions applied to new versions of the title's Triumphs, where applicable.
  • Triumphs for completing flawless carries in Trials no longer require the person being carried to have never gone flawless, and now require them to be less than perfect in the current season.
  • Fixed an issue where players could acquire more currency to acquire shards than was available in game.
  • Bounties and Lawsuits
    • The Exo Stranger has a new Aspect Stasis quest available.
    • Requires ownership of Beyond Light, campaign completion, and acquisition of all prior Stasis aspects from abroad.
    • Reduced the completion values ​​of many Stasis Fragment pursuit objectives to be less frustrating.

Platforms and systems

  • PC
    • Switching teams during a private match has been moved to the Shift key.
    • Remove notifications and sound options that did nothing.
  • Console tables
    • Removed voice chat volume slider setting which did nothing.

General

  • Eververse worthy season items have been added as potential drops in the shiny engram.
  • Spider now sells Glacial Starwort and Spinfoil. Spider and Armorer no longer accept Phase Glass Needle, Alkane Dust, Simulation Seed, or Seraphite.
  • Leftover Phaseglass Needle, Alkane Dust, Simulation Seed, or Seraphite can be turned into a Spider for a small amount of glow.
  • Starter gear removed from Suraya.
  • The Collections version of the Generalist Ghost Shell now has all Ghost mod and Masterwork features.
  • Riskrunner has been removed from Xur's vendor pool as it is tied to a New Light quest.
  • Legendary Engrams can no longer be claimed from Season Pass rewards when both Inventory and Postmaster are full.
  • The Wrathborn Hunt trail has been improved to better support color blindness.
  • Fixed an issue where players could sometimes not receive any rewards from Dreaming City weekly bounties and Shattered Throne encounters.
  • Fixing this issue required removing very rare fixed drops from Dreaming City Scout Rifles and Sniper Rifles.

Location

For Season of the Chosen, some of the local voice actors have been recast either permanently or temporarily due to the ongoing challenges imposed by the pandemic.

  • Permanent overhaul
    • The Mexican Spanish voice actor for Ghost is permanently replaced.
  • Temporary overhaul
    • Zavala's Polish voice actor was temporarily replaced for Season of the Chosen with a similar-sounding voice actor.
    • Russian voice actor Ghost was temporarily replaced for Season of the Chosen by a sound actor.
    • Brazilian voice actor Osiris has been temporarily replaced for Season of the Chosen with a similar-sounding actor.

We intend to return to the original cast as soon as possible.
