Needless to detail the purpose of this stuff: to hit, and hard. So certainly, the stats are not excellent because of the Tal Kasha set which only gives 40 elements per item, but your damage will come mainly from your critical hits: this same Tal Kasha set coupled with a double strigid item allows you to reach 140 do cry, as well as 40% crit. In other words, your opponents have every interest in buying critical resistance...
The alternatives
In order not to break the set bonuses, you can only change the rings and the crop body! The Gloursonne Alliance remains a must-have, however, only the Piloztere Ring remains, which can be changed to a Trithon Ring for more damage, but less PO. It's up to you to choose your style! At the melee level, a Hammer of the Ancient steamers, which can be effective for hitting in an area, but also Adou Daggers, which despite the nerf hit very hard on a single target.
In general, the Tavern Shield is quite good for Huppermage because it only restricts you if you play with a ranged body (not to be taken with a Koutoulou Bow therefore), while increasing your damage to melee spells (mainly the water route). It goes without saying that you will choose your shield according to your opponents: some with critical damage like Captain Amakna's Shield will drastically increase your damage, but will make you fragile.
Statistics, strengths and weaknesses
The strong points :
- Monstrous damage in two elements
- Heavy melee damage, but also in area and/or distance
- Regen' of zone thanks to Glacier and Transpersante Gust
The weak spots :
- Average resistances
- Mediocre MP dodge
- Must crit to really hurt
- Gets countered by critical resistance
