Destiny 2: Beyond Light Release Time - When can you download the new expansion?

Destiny 2's latest expansion, Beyond Light, is almost here. In this expansion, Guardians will travel to Europe, a frozen moon of Jupiter, and face darkness head-on for the first time in the series. Destiny 2: Beyond Light Release Time

Destiny 2: Beyond Light will be released on November 10, 2020. The expansion will be playable at 9am PST / 12pm EST on all platforms.

According to an official Bungie post, the new patch will be available on all platforms and regions and Destiny 2 players will be able to log back into the game at 9:00 AM PST, which means you can start playing Beyond Light at that time. . However, you may experience connection issues and other issues, as the maintenance doesn't officially end until three hours later at 12:00 PM PDT. In the worst case, you'll have to wait until then to log in and start playing.

How to preload Beyond Light

You can start downloading the Beyond Light expansion before it goes live to ensure you can play when it's released. To preload Beyond Light on PS4, find Destiny 2 on your home screen, press the Options button and select “Check for Updates”. The latest version will start downloading. If you're on Xbox or PC, the update will automatically download after 19:00 p.m. PT on November 9 as long as automatic updates are turned on.
