The legendaries are good, the Zappy is better.

The Zappy, or "Sparky" for friends, this beautiful, totally balanced menu makes some people happy and others unhappy. So why is this card so controversial? Investigation at the heart of the complete Supercellian.

Le Zappy was introduced in Clash Royale on May 03, 2016, the same date as for the minor as well as for the lava hound. It didn't take long for the community to get fired up about him: "Oé c tro cheaté sa dédestruct tou et sa a tro de vi" – Gaetan 14 years old.

It is indeed understandable, let's try to focus on each of the stats:

- 1200 hit points : Impossible to destroy with a fireball, only the rocket can overcome this monster. For comparison, it is the same level of life as the level 4 bomb tower or the level 2 prince.
- 260 damage per second : Nothing crazy at the moment despite it being high, the problem comes right after.
- 1300 area damage : The big "plus" of the Zappy, how to disintegrate a barbarian troop, a building or even a giant in just 2 hits, all with 4,5 range, it's a little less than most ranged cards ( Sorcerer, spear goblin, etc.)

Le Zappy is an extremely powerful weapon against medium-large units, but remains vulnerable against small units as well as flying units.

Weak cards against the zappy:

- The Pig Rider: It will only take 5 seconds of loading to find your perfectly grilled rider, he will have had time, in the best case, to put 1 hit on the tower.
- The Barbarians: Well placed against the Zappy, the Barbarians can be formidable. If we place them in the middle of the Zappy, then they will disperse to the 4 corners of the building. Only 1 of your barbarians will perish (to the great relief of your tower), the rest will take care of dismantling the monster before continuing on its way. However, there remains a weakness, 4 barbarians united do not last long against the Zappy, a blow and presto, nothing.
- The PEKKA / Giant: Well yes, HP bags are not a solution against the monster of the abyss. Indeed, it will only take two shots to overcome your Giant, which will have had time to cover about 2 cm.

Strong cards against the zappy:

- Flying units: Opt for a horde of minions to destroy the Zappy. Indeed, it does not target flying units, be careful however to throw arrows or other wizards protecting the latter.
- The electrocution ("Zap") or the freezing spell: These are probably the two cards that will be the most useful to you. Be careful to use it well though. As soon as you realize that the Zappy is fully charged and that you have the possibility of placing troops, use one of these spells. Not only will the Zappy be immobilized BUT IN ADDITION the cooldown of his attack will be reset, so he will need an additional 5 seconds to attack.
- Buildings: buildings remain effective, indeed even if they are destroyed, the Zappy will have to reload its attack in order to relaunch it on your turn, so take advantage of this to send your troops to destroy it.
- The goblins, the witch or the skeletons: These inexpensive units in elixir are extremely effective, you can use them right after using your spell or just to launch the zappy attack, 1300 area damage on 3 small pets of 80 life remains ultra profitable.

Deck to Play with the Zappy

I put two of my decks below (no I don't play Zappy, it's wrong!) that I used to build arena 8 :

The deck is heavy in elixirs hence the use of a extractor, you can put it behind your towers or in the middle of the map, it's up to you. the barrel will serve you against hog offensives. Then go for the combo Giant - Zappy - Wizard with space between units. The adversary will have to make a choice between the Giant or the Zappy, if your Zappy is destroyed, the Giant will make the cafe behind with the wizard who will clear the hordes or the barbarians. You can also try to anticipate, as soon as your Zappy crosses the line and you know that your opponent has a horde, send your arrows, it will surely have a chance to pass.

Having had a little surprise in a golden chest, I update you my deck:

The principle is essentially the same, however I am still working with it.

You now have all the keys to overcoming a Zappy, the goal being to be patient and focused!
