Chapter 4: Waking Memories
As agreed, meet Herodotus at Thermopylae. This is a place on the border of Phokis and Malis, and it is here that Leonidas died. Give your spear to Herodotus and you can watch a flashback to this scene, when Leonidas died and his spear was broken.
Herodotus then reveals his suspicions as to the existence of an ancient civilization of which there are still traces in Andros. Before leaving for Athens, he would like you to make a detour to the island of Andros.
You will then find yourself on your ship. Barnabas will offer you an optional quest on the road to Andros to strengthen your ship From the wood from which the hulls are made.
Once on Andros, you will need to find a huge A-shaped portal carved out of stone. Use the Spear of Leonidas to open it for another flashback to Kassandra's childhood, showcasing the day she got the weapon.
Enter the temple and place the spear in the illuminated forge.
You will then be sent out of the Animus by your doctor who is worried that you have been immersed in the past for too long. She will advise you to stretch your legs. Do not hesitate to consult the various emails of Layla if you want to know more about what is happening in the present. Otherwise, return to the Animus.
The Spear of Leonidas will now be upgraded and you can strengthen it by bringing back artifacts held by members of the cult. Exit the forge and you meet Deimos, wanting to chat with you. Be careful what you say to him. If you tell him Nikolaos isn't dead, he might sue him. If you are too aggressive with him, reconciliation may never be possible.
