The Spear of Poseidon is a hidden weapon in Assassin's Creed Odyssey that allows you to breathe underwater.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey has so much to offer on land that you would forget almost everything that is hidden under water. Indeed, the Aegean Sea is teeming with underwater ruins, wrecks full of treasures and other surprises to discover. Unfortunately, some of them are hidden so deeply that it is impossible to reach them without drowning...unless you have the Spear of Poseidon.

The Spear of Poseidon is a hidden weapon that gives its wielder the power to breathe underwater. When equipped, your oxygen gauge cannot decrease, allowing you to dive as deep as you want, even in the open sea.

This spear is on the Isle of Poseidon, a small island that is barely listed on your map. It is located on the far east of the game area, between Samos and Chios. You will recognize it by its gigantic statue of the god of the seas. On this island is a chest containing the spear.

You can get this spear as soon as you have a ship, but to equip it you'll need to be level 41. That's not so much of a problem, since finding the spear also gives you the schema needed to forge the attribute breathing underwater. So you can go to any blacksmith shop and add this power to any weapon, for a little silver iron.
