Destiny 2: How to get the Ascendency Rocket Launcher

With the release of Destiny 2 Season of the Lost features several new weapons, one of which includes the all-new Ascendency, Destiny's new Ritual Rocket Launcher. Due to the multitude of weapon changes that rocked the PvE meta and various nerfs and upgrades to different weapons, people are starting to venture out using different loadouts. That being said, some are still looking for a weapon to take on that infamous Anarchy slot, enter Ascendency, this season's ritual weapon.

Ascendancy is essentially the rocket launcher form of the now sunset Wendigo GL3 grenade launcher. This rocket launcher uses the Explosive Light perk which allows the gun to do more damage by picking up a power orb. Additionally, it also casts the Chain Reaction perk if you want more explosions around you. If this rocket launcher is anything like the Wendigo GL3, it will be a force to be reckoned with in PvE.

How to get Ascendancy in Destiny 2

For the past two seasons, the player would visit the Banshee-44 Tower Armorer to acquire the Ritual Weapon quest, but this changed with Season of the Lost. To acquire the Ascendency Rocket Launcher, you must Reach Rank 16 in the Vanguard (Strikes), Crucible, or Gambit ranks. After that, you can go to the playlist provider where you reached Rank 16 and purchase the Ascendency Rocket Launcher. We personally recommend Crucible or Strikes as those seem to be the fastest playlists to progress, but if you consider yourself a seasoned Dredgen, Gambit might be more your speed.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Google Stadia.
