Shadowlands Patch 9.1 – How to Upgrade Season 2 Valor Gear

Value is still used for upgrade Mythic+ gear in Shadowlands Update 9.1, but the Keystone Master achievement won't matter as much as before. Instead, players will want to focus on improving their new Mythic+ dungeon rating, as Valor ranks 7-12 gear is tied to it. Fortunately, the Value « quartier-maitre » remained unchanged.

Upgrade Season 2 Valor gear by improving your Mythic+ dungeon rating in Shadowlands.

In Shadowlands Patch 9.1, Blizzard added a new Mythic+ Dungeon leaderboard, which is basically the popular Raider.IO mod. While players will still need to unlock the Shadowlands Keystone Master achievement to reach the highest Valor upgrade available, there are more additional thresholds players must cross to continue upgrading their Valor gear beyond Rank 6 in the season 2.

For starters, let me say that the “Quartermaster” Valor remains unchanged. I see this question a lot, so for those of you who don't know: there is no Quartermaster Valor. You earn Valor gear as drops from Mythic+ dungeons, then upgrade those drops by visiting an upgrade vendor, namely Zo'dash Aggressor in The Enclave within the Oribos. You can technically visit any upgrade vendor (like the one at your Covenant Sanctuary), but he's sort of the go-to guy.

Alright, moving on: to upgrade Valor gear beyond Rank 6 in Shadowlands Season 2, you need to achieve various Mythic + Dungeon ranks. The item levels and requirements for each rank are as follows:

  • Rang 1
    • Item Level 210
  • Rang 2
    • Item Level 213
  • Rang 3
    • Item Level 216
  • Rang 4
    • Item Level 220
  • Rang 5
    • Item Level 223
  • Rang 6
    • Item Level 226
  • Rang 7
    • Item Level 229
    • Achieve a Mythic+ rating of at least 600 during Shadowlands Season 2.
  • Rang 8
    • Item Level 233
    • Achieve a Mythic+ rating of at least 1000 during Shadowlands Season 2.
  • Rang 9
    • Item Level 236
    • Achieve a Mythic+ rating of at least 1000 during Shadowlands Season 2.
  • Rang 10
    • Item Level 239
    • Achieve a Mythic+ rating of at least 1400 during Shadowlands Season 2.
  • Rang 11
    • Item Level 242
    • Achieve a Mythic+ rating of at least 1700 during Shadowlands Season 2.
  • Rang 12
    • Item Level 246
    • Achieve a Mythic+ rating of at least 2000 during Shadowlands Season 2.

If you're wondering "I don't see Shadowlands Keystone Master in this list," it's because success is now tied to achieving a Mythic + Dungeon rating of 2000 or higher. So, in essence, reaching the last Valor gear upgrade rank is always required. Since achievement is now score-based, it will take longer to unlock, especially since Tyrannical and Fortified keys count as separate upgrades to your Mythic+ rating.

That said, upgrading your Valor gear is a bit more accessible, at least sooner, so those of you looking to jump into Mythic+ dungeons for the first time should be able to use your Valor sooner rather than later. . You'll still need to push higher keys (and tackle them on Tyrannical and Fortified to boost your score in the higher parts), but you can upgrade your Valor gear to a raid-equivalent item level before your score starts to count in the season. 2.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Patch 9.1, Chains of Domination will launch on June 29 (NA) and June 30 (EU).
