| Marth is the prince of Altea and the first hero of the Fire Emblem strategy game series. In Smash Bros Ultimate, he relies more on his basic hits and the range of his blade than on his various special attacks. Marth's damage is increased when he strikes with the end of his sword. Marth is quick and strong, but demands exemplary play reading. | |||

Shield Breaker | |
| Gives a thrust so powerful that it can break through the opponent's defense if fully charged. | |||

Dancing Sword | |
| Hit the opponent up to four times by pressing the button repeatedly. The combo changes if you move the stick up or down between attacks. | |||

Sharp Leap | |
| Swing your sword upwards as you launch yourself into the air. Damage is greatest at the base of the jump. | |||

Against | |
| Prepares to take a hit and counterattacks if hit. The strength of the counter depends on the strength of the enemy attack. | |||

Critical Strike | |
| Marth lunges forward and punches. If he hits an opponent who is not protecting himself, the attack can KO in one blow. Marth throws himself a very long distance, so there is a great risk that he will jump into the void if he does not hit the opponent. However, he can cancel the attack by pressing again. | |||
