LEGO Jurassic World test: already seen, already played

LEGO Jurassic World test: already seen, already playedThe Jurassic Park license leaves no one indifferent. And even more so when you grew up with Steven Spielberg's dinosaurs. Cinemas filled with posters in the colors of the first feature film, the first thrills of special effects, the disappointment caused by the third part or the appalling quantity of derivative products are all memories that remind us how much Jurassic Park counts in the cultural heritage . And with the release of the new component, Jurassic World, the world of video games went straight to boiling. Four films, characters in shambles, extraordinary sets with equally extreme situations, it was enough for Traveller's Tales to get on the rails of the LEGO-style video game adaptation. While waiting for a LEGO Dimensions that promises to be innovative, Warner Bros has concocted a new, very conventional but still endearing LEGO game for us with LEGO Jurassic World.

A GAME DATING FROM PREHISTORY?

LEGO Jurassic World test: already seen, already playedAlthough the title highlights the opus World, Traveler's Tales was obviously not satisfied with a single film. The cake of course contains the four opuses to the delight of fans who will have the joy of returning to the two islands where the dinosaurs sowed terror, Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna, and as far as San Diego to calm the T .Rex. As always, you will have to follow the game step by step in "Story" mode to find all the quintessence of the scenario. However, the developers have been quite nice and offer from the start to join the new Jurassic World park, or to go for a little trip to 1993. It's up to you but as far as the Lost World and Jurassic Park III requires completing the previous episode first. And to tell the truth, the chapters follow each other quickly at the rate of 5 levels per film. But don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to come back to the scene in Free Play Mode to unearth all the secrets the game contains. As usual, the LEGO franchise always offers two (or more) play sessions per level: the first with the characters from the film, the second with whoever you want in order to test everyone's skills and access other play areas. While some characters like to rummage through dinosaur droppings like Ellie Degler, others such as Owen will be able to camouflage himself to avoid danger while Alan Grant is good at reconstructing the bones. With over 100 characters and dinosaurs to unlock, you're in for a blast!

Because yes, you will also be able to embody the famous dinos of Jurassic Park. Triceratops, stegosaurus, pachycephalosaurus, the dreadful velociraptor, the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex and the terrible Indominus Rex...

LEGO Jurassic World test: already seen, already playedBecause yes, you will also be able to embody the famous dinos of Jurassic Park. Triceratops, stegosaurus, pachycephalosaurus, the dreadful velociraptor, the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex and the terrible Indominus Rex, the joys of the Jurassic are yours knowing that each creature also has its specificities (climbing, cutting, sniffing, charging...). You will have fun in the levels and outside because, like The Hobbit, Marvel or LEGO Batman 3, LEGO Jurassic World offers the two islands in open-world where you can attend to different challenges and challenges. . After each completed objective, as usual, you will unlock new characters, vehicles and bonus bricks that will increase the number of coins collected, the speed of construction or make you invincible. The recipe is known but it still works. Although the game does not offer any real innovation - we will have to wait for that LEGO Dimensions - and that its graphics engine is tested and approved, the game seduces thanks to its fan service. The developers know this well and that's why they seek to recreate the best sequences of the films by adding their secret ingredient but not too much: humor. It works, we blow our noses even if we regret the absence of certain official voices, hyper repetitive background music, character bugs that require restarting the machine and handling of vehicles and dinosaurs that is not always optimal. We now know that certain defects go hand in hand with the LEGO series, but unfortunately we feel that Traveller's Tales no longer even tries to hide it.
