It is a feature that is increasingly requested by gamers around the world for video games that are mainly played online and released on multiple media. Although Sony teams are still quite reluctant to this kind of practice, we see more and more games coming out and offering the famous cross-play (or cross-platform) function on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch; mobiles and PCs.
But by the way, what is cross-play (multi-platform play)?
Before revealing the list of games currently compatible with this practice, it might be good to understand what cross-play (cross-platform) is. If you're not very familiar with video game lingo, you may have missed this term. It's simple, "cross-play" otherwise called in French "multi-platform game" is only of interest for video games that are played online. That is to say, games that bring together players on online servers whether for confrontations in PvP (players against players) or PvE (players against environment).
Cross-platform play therefore consists of bringing together players from different platforms (PlayStation, PC, Xbox, Nintendo) on the same servers. A PS5 / PS4 player could for example play with an Xbox One player or a Switch player with a PC player. If you understand the principle, let's see the games that incorporate such a feature.

As you can see, this feature that brings together players from multiple mediums is still in its infancy. Very few video games are compatible with this type of practice at the moment. Other games could become cross-play over time, titles like Destiny 2, Minecraft, Overwatch, Apex Legends or even GTA 5 and Monster Hunter World. If they ever go cross-play, we'll be sure to include them in the list of all video games that play cross-platform.
