Rogue Legacy 2 guide how to access all areas of the game and get all powers

Rogue Legacy 2, the new genealogical rogue-lite developed by Cellar Door Games studio takes a whole line of heroes through a whole bunch of environments that are filled with traps and monsters. Dying in Rogue Legacy 2 is something permanent, forcing the player to select a new adventurer who will have a different class and unique traits that can make a journey easier or on the contrary make things much more difficult...

To overcome this system, the game offers players a mansion to evolve which improves the statistics of the new descendants which has the effect of increasing the chances of success as one advances in the game. On this page, you'll find the list of locations you can travel to as you progress through Rogue Legacy 2, and we'll tell you where to find the powers that allow you to go to a specific area.

β˜† Note – As you progress through Rogue Legacy 2, you will come across relics with various and varied effects. The first time you find a relic, you won't know its effect... Get a head start on the game thanks to our dedicated guide which tells you the effects of these relics available at this address: Rogue Legacy 2 Guide The List Of Relics To Find And Their Effects On Classes.

There are two statues that grant powers (otherwise known as heirlooms) at Agartha Citadel. The power of empathy which is obtained from the statue of Aesop allowing to read the memories and the shawl of AnankΓ© to obtain the power of the momentum which allows to jump in the air. The second power will allow you to validate the quest "light the way" by lighting the two torches via a voucher in the air which will be used to open the doors of the throne room of Agartha and therefore attempt to face the Lamech Estuary .

β˜† Tip – You can get a permanent damage bonus on this boss. For this you need to complete an optional quest. More info in this dedicated guide: Rogue Legacy 2 Quest Chambers And Hidden Secrets Guide Where Lamech Sanctuary is.

The Axis Mundi, requires Echo Boots (2 star danger level β˜…β˜…):

The Axis Mundi is a region that is always on the far right side of the Agartha Citadel. To be able to advance in this location, you will first need to obtain the Echo Boots. To get them, look in the first room of the Axis Mundi, there is a door in height which will allow you to reach a new place where we find the statue of the echo of the resonance. It is thanks to this statue that you will be able to obtain the power of the echo boots. Be careful though, the statue will accept to make you pass its test only if you have first obtained the shawl of AnankΓ© which is at the citadel of Agartha.

The Kerguelen plateau, two ways to enter it (danger level 3 stars β˜…β˜…β˜…):

There are two ways to reach the Kerguelen plateau, always from L'Axis Mundi. The third region of the game is indeed always in the rightmost part of the Axis Mundi. When you are there, a heavily closed gate will prevent you from progressing... You have the choice, defeat the two beasts of nothingness by crossing the door of the boss in order to open the gate or by going through the secret wall which is above the throne room. It will be necessary to make sure to reach the platform above the grid and to engulf you in the crack. Be careful, once crossed, it is impossible to turn around... Well, that's what the game will have you believe since in reality you can always teleport elsewhere.

To open the boss room of this region, you will need to get your hands on two thrush "quest for a white gift" and get the ether wings. Look for the Hall of Legacy, when you get there you will get the Distant Shores quest. Approach the edge and take a good look, you will see flashlights on the surface, you will have to make small bounces on it until you reach the statue. Which will allow you to get the ether wings that will allow you to do double jumps!

Stygian Study, requires Aether Boots (4 star danger level β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…):

The Stygian Study is a biome that always spawns in one of the upper areas of the Agartha Citadel. To navigate this place, you will need the Ether Wings to be able to perform double jumps. As mentioned before, it is by browsing the "Kerguelen plateau" biome that you will obtain the ether boots. With it, you will be able to do double jumps and therefore you will be able to climb the tower of the Stygian study. To face the Estuary located there, you will first need to defeat two other bosses in this region. Again a new power will be needed, find in the Stygian study the heirloom statue to get the Void Bell from Pallas, which will allow you to turn your Leap into a Void Leap which will allow you to pass through projectiles and the barriers of nothingness.

The Sun Tower, requires the power of Void Leap (5 star danger level β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…):

You can reach the solar tower via Axis Mundi. The biome is still in the area above where there is the Pizza sign where you must have met Marie the pizza delivery girl. To progress through the Solar Tower, you will need Pallas' Void Bell and its power which you will find at the Stygian Study. It is very difficult to progress in the solar tower, you will face at its top where the sun burns the powerful Estuary with two eyes. When this is done, you will have reactivated the solar lantern which will allow you to explore Lake Pishon.

The dry Pishon lake, requires the solar lantern (6-star danger level β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…):

The dried up Pishon Lake is still in an area below the Agartha Citadel. Following the normal Rogue Legacy 2 route, this is the last area you will go through. To progress, it is strongly recommended to reactivate the solar lantern, otherwise the area is too dark and the enemies and traps difficult to spot. Defeat the boss there and you can finally open the golden gates of the Agartha Citadel.
