Dance Shadowlands Patch 9.1, Chains of Domination, players can disable jailer's eye mechanic once and for all. This means you can explore the Infernal Maw with impunity: no need to run away once you reach Rank 5 Eyey's Wrath. You can blind eye via the new Chains of Domination campaign, and it won't take you more than a few hours.
Disable the Jailer's Eye by completing the "Focus the Eye" quest in Shadowlands.
Shortly after unlocking the ability to use one of your mounts in the Maw, you will transition to disabling the Eye of the Jailer. Both of these are tied into the new Chains of Domination campaign, and you don't need to complete the Shadowlands 9.0 campaign or reach a specific fame rank to get started.
To start the Chains of Domination campaign and ultimately disable the Jailer's Eye, all you need to do is complete Chapter 2 of the 9.0 campaign, “Torghast”. Once you have completed the quest "The Search for Baine", you will automatically receive the Chains of Domination intro quest "The First Movement". This will eventually lead you to Korthia, the new area added in Shadowlands Patch 9.1.
To deactivate the Jailer's Eye in the Maw, you will need to reach the third chapter of this new Shadowlands campaign, "Focusing the Eye". It shouldn't take you more than an hour to reach, and you'll unlock the use of your mounts in the Maw in the process. Once you reach "Focusing the Eye", it will take you about an hour and a half to an hour to reach the final and titular quest of Chapter 3.
Take down the Jailer's Eye by using the provided spears to take down the little eyes guarding it. Kill all six to throw a final spear, which will trigger a cutscene. Then, turn in the quest to permanently disable Jailer's Eye in Shadowlands. This will make the Maw much easier to play indoors, which is a godsend considering everything that was added to the area in patch 9.1.
