We are not talking about the opus released more than a decade ago, but about the sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot which is slowly starting to show itself and which is now expected for the end of the year 2022. It will have the heavy burden of succeeding a CoD Vanguard which has struggled to convince a large majority of players. To avoid confusion with the original series, Activision prefers to display the title of the game as "MWII" rather than "MW2", it will in any case be the direct sequel to the MW released in 2019, still considered to be the one of the best Call of Duty games released to date.
Release date of the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare II:
It was through a video serving as a “teaser” that we were able to discover the final release date of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. The game will be released on October 28, 2022. This Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will not be limited to new generation home consoles (PS5 / Xbox Series) since it will also be released on PS4 and Xbox One, enough to ensure the publisher to reach a very wide audience.
With Vanguard disappointing a lot of players and a Warzone that's running out of steam a lot over time, it's more than necessary for Activision and Infinity Ward (which is in charge of this MWII) to ensure that this opus puts everyone agree.
As usual with this license, expect several editions of the game, a standard one, a cross-gen bundle and a collector's edition (Vault). The third edition will ensure players who purchase it get skin packs and at least one exclusive operator, the season one battle pass, and enough tokens to enjoy several hours of double XP so they can level up faster in multiplayer.
Note that the traditional marketing deal between Sony and Activision (despite the recent takeover by Microsoft) will allow PlayStation players to play the open beta before the others, because yes, as tradition dictates, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will be playable in beta a few weeks before its release.
