These creatures can be strengthened as you progress in the adventure, notably by gaining levels as your character, which has the effect of increasing your overall CP, an indicator of power in the game. What are the methods to unlock new pets in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds:

The game gives you multiple ways to unlock new pets. The first way is obviously by using the summoning system of the shop if you have summoning tickets or by spending diamonds (which we do not recommend). You can also progress through the adventure until you unlock the egg hatching feature. With hatching, you can make wishes to influence the pet you will get knowing that you will need pet eggs and dream fragments which are the hatching materials of “Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds”.

You can also hunt the small blue butterflies that sometimes appear in the environment around you (keep your eyes open!) that will spawn a particular pet when you interact with them. You will then need to feed the creature a certain type of cookie for it to join your team. By completing certain missions in the game or by participating in events such as "Welcome to Hope", you can also obtain familiars and powerful ones, such as the four-star "Ebony Bull" for example.
