Test Luigi's Mansion 2

Test Luigi's Mansion 2At a time when David Cage is messing up his neurons on multiple branching scenarios, Nintendo continues to rock us with stories that fit on two lines. Better still, it is almost a copy-paste of the script of the GameCube version, with a Mario imprisoned in a painting and which will obviously have to be delivered. In order for the illusion to be perfect, Nintendo writers introduced the Black Moon, a star that kept calm in the Valley of Shadows until an evil force shattered it into five fragments. A moldy pretext to explain the aggressiveness of the ghosts throughout the adventure, basically. Fortunately, Luigi will not be on his own and can count on the unwavering help of Professor K. Tastroff, who also provides him with all the equipment necessary to capture the ghosts. Cut above all for the general public, Luigi's Mansion 2 does not contain any insoluble enigma, but Mario's brother still has a DS in tank format, through which the professor distills some welcome advice for the less resourceful. Despite its scenario bought at the Puces de Clignancourt therefore, Luigi's Mansion 2 offers a satisfactory lifespan: with five mansions to explore (Manor of despair, Towers of detours, Pendularium, Mine of mysteries, House of collections), and around thirty minutes on average to complete each mission, we completed the game in about ten hours. Afterwards, it all depends on the time you want to devote to exploration, undeniably one of the most addictive aspects of Luigi's Mansion 2.

In terms of achievement, the game displays first-rate graphics, with a universe specific to each manor which systematically reminds that the game is the result of meticulous work.

Test Luigi's Mansion 2Each haunted house is indeed full of treasures that we take pleasure in finding, and we must keep our eyes open so as not to miss them.. If it is advisable to constantly raise your head, also pay attention to the wallpaper likely to hide a dark hideout, or to the different clothes lying around here and there. A perfect mastery of trompe-l'oeil put to the service of a well-done level design, really. These gold coins, dollar bills and other precious stones are all the more important as they considerably improve the efficiency of the Ectoblast 5000 and its accessories; knowing that it will be necessary to reach the approximately 20 G collected to access the final evolution of the device. A clarification that reminds us that the gameplay of Luigi's Mansion 000 is essentially based on three axes: the gauge of Aspir'A, the Spectroflash and the Révéloscope. Three is also the number of phases needed to grasp a spectrum. Like the first episode, Luigi must first immobilize the ghost by dazzling it with the Spectroflash, then suck it up by pulling back with all his might. Once the Aspir'A gauge is full, you must then press A to decrease the creature's counter until it reaches 2. An easy maneuver to assimilate, and with which you will have to tame the deceits of ghosts, the latter being determined not to let themselves be walked on. Suddenly, they do not hesitate to wear sunglasses to protect themselves from blinding flashes, or even downright a bucket since they cannot always have class in Luigi's Mansion 0.

Test Luigi's Mansion 2As you progress in the adventure, the behavior of enemies becomes less predictable, the opportunity to discover all the subtleties of the gameplay of Luigi's Mansion 2. For example, inhaling several enemies at the same time allows you to extricate yourself from a tense situation, just as being proactive avoids being caught as a traitor. Even if it's not a fighting game here, the opponents require a minimum of skill and insight to overcome them, some swinging projectiles from a distance, others rushing headlong into our hero. No repeated Game Over to report, but we are very happy to have a golden bone to eat to resume the game where we lost consciousness; and even more against a boss. And contrary to what one might think, those of Luigi's Mansion 2 do not necessarily drop their pants, even if we expected a slightly tougher end boss. Otherwise, it's back to square one illico presto. The Révéloscope, not to forget to mention it, is especially useful for detecting objects or hidden passages in another dimension. A clever way to bring the puzzles which has the advantage of not putting off neophytes. In terms of achievement, the game displays top-notch graphics, with a universe specific to each manor which systematically reminds that the game is the result of meticulous work.. It is true that aliasing sometimes damages the eyes, but this inconvenience remains minor compared to all the efforts made both in terms of animation and in terms of the various visual effects. The atmosphere of Luigi's Mansion 2 is also magical: just strain your ears to hear Luigi humming the music of the game, so as not to stress at each dark corridor.

The atmosphere of Luigi's Mansion 2 is also magical: just listen carefully to hear Luigi humming the music of the game, so as not to stress with each dark hallway.

Test Luigi's Mansion 2Luigi's Mansion 2 is also the appearance of a multiplayer mode called "Haunted Tower", which is compatible with game sharing; that is, with a single cartridge, up to four participants can engage in ghost hunting. Online play is obviously in order, but wireless connection with multiple cartridges is also an option. If everything went well locally, we were treated to a few untimely disconnections online, both during the search for a session and in the middle of the game. Three game modes are available: Sprint, Hunt and Hunt. In Hunt, the objective will simply be to get rid of all the specters that swarm in the surroundings, while in Sprint it will be a question of fighting the clock and scratching precious seconds so that the team has time to find the exit hatch. Finally, the Hunt requires above all the sense of observation since it will be necessary to use the Révéloscope to track and capture the Ectochiens. Each game is an opportunity to accumulate a number of bonuses, in particular to facilitate the task in the single-player campaign. That said, without really presenting irreversible defects, the multiplayer mode does not present itself as a major asset of Luigi's Mansion 2. The fault of a cruel lack of finishing, which represents a sacred paradox insofar as the communication on the game was precisely made on the parties to several. In the end, it was indeed the single-player campaign that amazed us when we knew what to expect. The brand of the greats.
