In Slime Rancher 2, you can collect multiple types of materials and resources. Slime Plorts that can be sold for a good price (to earn Neobucks) or can be refined to upgrade certain Beatrix LeBeau gear. The equipment and other objects to be manufactured with the “forger” however require some additional resources such as shiny ore, in particular used for the Jetpack.
This is a very useful upgrade that will allow you to hover for a few moments over the different areas of Rainbow Island. In this guide, we'll tell you how you can start collecting Shiny Ore and where you'll find it!
To collect shiny ore, first you need an upgrade, you need to craft the resource harvester. The blueprint can be found in the category of "forger" upgrades. This device adds a resonator to the suction mechanism of your vacuum pack, giving you the opportunity to collect some of the resources from the special nodes found nearby on Rainbow Island.

In which areas of Rainbow Island is the Shining Ore found:
Once you've fitted the resource harvester to your weapon that sucks up everything in its path, all you have to do is look for shiny ore deposits. These deposits are not that rare! You will be able to find enough of them by going to the exploration zones of the "Starry Band" and the "Burning Valley". They become accessible once you have fed two large Gordo slimes guarding the portal mechanism in the Rainbow Fields.
Whether you choose one or the other of the two destinations, here's what the glowing ore deposits you seek and need to suck up look like. These deposits are mainly found near cliffs and rocky surfaces. Collect at least 10 and you'll soon unlock the Jetpack upgrade.
