Thanks to a partnership between Microsoft and Epic Games, mobile gamers who own an iPhone or Android device can once again play Fortnite without needing to download the game from the Apple App Store or Google Play. For those who have forgotten the story, Epic Games' battle royale has been banned for an "indefinite" period (not to say definitively) from Apple's gaming platform, but also that of Google in the course of the year 2020.
Almost two years later, Fortnite is still not back as a free download on Android & iOS, with a trial still ongoing. Epic Games had tried to introduce its own payment system into the application, which was not viewed very favorably by these two multinationals, who simply chose to remove the game from their respective platforms, penalizing all mobile gamers… The new partnership between Microsoft and Epic Games now makes it possible to circumvent the sanctions imposed by Apple and Google.
