With the launch of the mobile version of Apex Legends, players were able to discover the exclusive character Fade to unlock by chaining a few games of Battle Royale. To mark the occasion for the debut of this mobile version, the developers have also set up a limited-time seasonal event called "punitive unleashing" which allows you to obtain seasonal currency, a Fade skin and also notably learn more about the character's backstory.
Unfortunately for console and PC players, the "Punitive Unleashing" event is exclusive to the mobile version of Apex Legends. It has a total of twelve rewards to be obtained by collecting "Fade Chips". This seasonal challenge runs from 17/05/22 to 28/05/22, i.e. 12 days, an important information to remember if you embark on the adventure…
How to get the Fade chips in the mobile version of Apex Legends:
It's quite simple, just chain games of Battle Royale and BR+ to start collecting these famous chips. You will sometimes see them appear by opening a container in a game… However, you should know that you can only collect one “Fade chip” per day… The number you can collect is limited, which is a habit in Apex Legends if you've ever dabbled in console or PC gaming.
Since the “Punitive Unleashing” Seasonal Event takes place over 12 days, you will therefore need to log in every 24 hours to collect all the Fade Chips and thus ensure you unlock all the rewards…
Here is the list of the rewards of the “Punitive Unleashing” mode:
- Collect a chip from Fade to get 2000 coins (seasonal currency).
- Collect two chips to unlock a piece of character history.
- Collect three chips from Fade to track how many enemies are trapped by his ultimate ability.
- Collect four chips to get the second piece of character history.
- Collect five Fade Chips to get a regular Apex Pack.
- Collect six chips to get the third piece of character history.
- Collect seven chips from Fade to get 3000 coins (seasonal currency).
- Collect eight to get the fourth piece of character history.
- Collect nine chips to track total distance traveled with the Flash-Back tactical ability.
- Collect ten to get the fifth piece of character history.
- Collect eleven Fade Chips to get the "Total Concentration" Legend Skin.
- Collect twelve Fade Chips to get the final character story fragment.
